In these 15 lessons, students will solidify CVC patterns previously learned and build on reading and writing skills systematically.

Class Structure

Each class will be structured as follows:

Greetings
Review and learn the target sound of the day
Review and learn any high-frequency words
Read simple stories with the target sound of the day
Write with the target sound of the day
Draw and label a picture based on the day's reading
Share with the group

Teachers will gently guide students to master new or challenging sounds, using repetition to solidify target sounds and improve fluency. Choral reading (all reading together) minimizes downtime and enhances learning. Engaging, open-ended questions and discussions will advance reading comprehension. While learners are encouraged to share their work, participation is not mandatory.
